Here is another installment of my Sketchbook drawings from Europe.

This drawing was done in Sevilla. I loved my time in Spain, although this day was scorching hot. I made this sketch as quickly as I could to get out of the heat.

I arrived in Milan after a train ride from Switzerland. I remember that the contrast btween the train station in Switzerland and the one in Milan was dramatic. The trains did not leave quite so precisely and while the train station in Zurich was immaculate, the station in Milan looked like it was covered in a thin veil of soot and ash.

I love to draw the people I see in my travels. There are so many interesting peopl you run across. This was drawn at the World championship for Master Swimming in Riccione, Italy. There were roughly 5,000 Swimmers at this meet, ranging in age from 18-90 something. It was such a great experience. Not to mention a great place to sketch.

I saw this guy on a beach in Portugal and had to draw him. when I was in Portugal, the country was going absolutely crazy over soccer, because the european championships were taking place there. It is not everyday that you see a pot bellied man, wearing speedos and a fanny-pack while he's holding the portuguese flag, and dragging a boogie board. It is moments like this that make me so happy that I remebered to bring out my sketchbook.

Here are some of the English soccer fans that i met in Portugal. I have to say most of them were very kind, only a small minority of them could be classified as hooligans.

This is an exerpt from a coversation that occured while I was riding in the London underground
