Fly, Cher Ami, Fly
This is a really exciting time for me. In the last month I have finished work on Horton Hears a Who and I also finished illustrating my second book. The Book is titled Fly, Cher Ami, Fly. It is due to be released later this year from Abrams Publishing. I had a great experience working on this book.

Hi Everyone,
thank you for all of the positive feedback. Gerald the story actually takes place during World War I. It is the story of a carrier pidgeon that delivers a message that saves the lives of 200 people. It is actually based on a true story. I really enjoyed working on this book and it was a really exciting, yet difficult challenge to illustrate a story like this as a children's book. I tried my best to be accurate with the details to do justice to all of the people who actually experienced this story. At the same time, I tried to abstract the images and stylize them, in order to elimate images of extreme violence.
