Sketching on the train
In an effort to reduce my carbon footprint on the world, I have not been using my car very much lately and opted to take the train to work. It has also given me a chance to catch up on reading as well as doing more work in my sketchbook. Here are a few drawings that I have done recently on my Metro North commute.

these are beautifully responsive Bob. I MUST get myself a copy of your book - but it has to be signed by the master himself! hehe.
i'll be heading to San Fransisco sometime this year, hope we can meet up then...not sure when i'll make it out to NY this year.
These are great sketches, and if I'm not mistaken, that's one of those teeny tiny Rhodia or Moleskine sketchbooks. It looks like you're getting a really fine line--what sort of pen are you using?
I'm using Uni-ball Micro pens on a mokeskin sketchbook. The pens are pretty cheap, so I tend to buy boxes of them.
Uni-ball makes several different pens. If the pen has a silver pen tip, that is good. I do not like the pens with a brass colored tip.
I also tend to find that with these pens, not all of them are created equally. Some are better than others, but they are so cheap, that it isn't a big deal if you need to replace it with one that gives a more sensitive line.
