The Art Critic

I try to get out to as many gallery shows and museums as I can. I feel very fortunate to be able to live in an area that is so close to so much incredible artwork. Over the past seven months I have had the opportunity to see some great shows with my favorite art critic. His taste in art is a bit more discriminating than mine.

Nara- Marianne Boesky Gallery.

Alex Kanevsky- J. Cacciola Gallery.

He actually was very happy at the Kanevsky Show. I think he was more interested in flirting with the ladies than looking at the amazing work on the walls.

Jacob Hashimoto- Mary Boone Gallery

Jacob Hashimoto's work is absolutely stunning. This show left both of us speechless.

I can't believe he slept when we were going through the room with the Sargent, Zorn and Sorrolla paintings at the Met. This kid has a lot to learn.

He was awake and happy by the time we reached the Impressionists. Unfortunately I decided to push our luck and take him to the Francis Bacon show. He is not a fan of Bacon. I hope this show isn't going to give him any nightmares

Sheprard Fairey, ICA Boston

He isn't much of a Shepard Fairey fan either. We took him to his retrospective at the ICA in Boston but it did not go so well. He slept through most of the show and when he finally woke up, he was not impressed. In fact, he threw up all over the floor right in front of the Fairey's image of Jim Morrison. That's my Boy!
