Phoned In

Acrylic on wood postcard, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
This painting is for the Brownstones to Red Dirt Postcard Benefit Auction. The auction was born out of feature-length documentary, of the same name, that my friends and co-workers, Dave LaMattina and Chad Walker made about a pen pal program started between children in the Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn and orphans growing up in war torn Freetown, Sierra Leone. The organizers of this auction have gathered some pretty talented artists from all over the globe to paint postcards. The proceeds of the auction are going to help contribute to building a library for the kids in Brooklyn and a school for the children in Freetown.
